The overall layout of this blog site is similar, yet very different than "The Blond Abroad's" layout of her site. The one thing that I noticed about adventurous Kate is that her blog was more so about doing fun and adventurous things, and exploring interesting parts of the world. Not necessarily going to over 50 countries in general, but exploring specific parts of them. For example, she was able to tour Chernobyl in Russia, the setting in which there was a nuclear power plant explosion. She shows that right on her slide show on the first page, and this really grabbed my attention right away. Each slide show on the front of her page is a monthly recap of all of the places that she has explored, which I thought was pretty cool! This gives readers a general idea of all of the places that she has been within the past month! Adventurous Kate also has an about page! On her homepage she has a small box toward the middle-right of her page that has a little blurb about her and why she wanted to travel. She also has a full about page in which she writes similar information in the small blurb about herself. She also has a few pages in her about page that thanks her followers for their emails (which I really like because she is reaching out to her readers), a where I have been page, and last a press page similar to the blonde abroad's blog page. Her about page and blog in general is very funny and sarcastic. For example, she travels for a living, but I would not personally say that she is the typical traveler. For example, she says in the first sentence of her about page "I’ve been shipwrecked in Indonesia. I’ve taken a boob to the face in Istanbul. I’ve hit on Jon Stewart in New York City, which got me subsequently mocked on The Daily Show, and I’ve been an extra in a really, really bad German movie." This immediately made me want to read more about her life!! I truly enjoyed reading her about page. And it is inspiration for my own niche blog post when I am willing to add some sarcasm or humor to my blog.

Polish travel blogs is a different kind of travel blog. Instead of involving just one person, it involves a group of travel bloggers who have been active throughout the "blogosphere" for years. Traveling is a passion for each and every one of them, and they blog in order to share their stories, experiences, and photographs with their readers. I have received just this information from their about page. Right on their homepage, there is a collage of pictures of each of the travel bloggers involved on the site. In the middle of the collage there is an about me link to click on. This is a good idea to put the about me picture there because it is very easy to spot and made me interested to want to click on it and learn more about them. I have also chosen this blog as part of my research because it does not include only women. For most of my blogs, I will be focusing on women and travel. However, this blog site includes such a diverse group of men and women, which is very intriguing to myself. I want to be able to explore this page and learn all that I can about these amazing people, and why exactly they are deciding to travel. I want to compare and contrast the differences between a multi-person blog, and just a female blog so that I can further understand what makes each and every blog post unique in their own way.
Another reason why I really like this blog site is because you can narrow down your searches to what type of travel you would like to learn about. For example, under the "Blogs by Categories" tab, you can search blogs that include solo traveling (a personal favorite of mine), traveling with pets, adventures, budgets, family, food, photography, road trips, and so much more. This will truly help me with my own blog posts because I will be able to compare my aspect of female travel with the many different sub categories of travel trips and understandings in general. The site also shows what companies that are affiliated with, and who they collaborate with. Some of the companies include an Italian food company, Czech Republic Land of Stories, Germany: The Travel Destination, Liberic, Volens Foundations, and Slovokia. These are all different travel companies or places in which the travelers on the blog site have visited and ultimately have made connections with. Therefore, it is important as a reader to understand that these are some companies that you may enjoy working with.

Travel mother blog is a blog in which I would consider a personal favorite. Basically, this blog is about a family of four who travel the world constantly. One day, they decided that normal life was not enough for them. They wanted more to life, and they wanted to travel with their kids. They wanted their children to experience the world just as they would, even if they didn't necessarily remember all of the experiences. This blog especially reminded me of myself when I was a child living and traveling in Japan. I don't remember everything, but I remember enough to the point where I am a different person today than I would have been if I had not gone through that experience. I can relate to this blog more than any others that I have researched thus far. On the about page of their site, they also explain that their traveling experience began with a trip to Norway. Her husband had to confirm that working and traveling with a baby would be something that they enjoyed doing, being that he was the owner of an online business. Then, from there on out the family knew that traveling was for them! They even started vlogging about their travel experiences with their children. The multimedia aspect of this page is a huge part of their site. The mother explains that she enjoys vlogging more than writing, being that her audience can receive a hands on, live experience as well. The page is organized with plenty of pictures, slideshows, and vlogs on the homepage in order to draw the audience in. She also has a traveling page, where she blogs about her traveling experiences so far while living in Costa Rica, the Netherlands, Iceland, Nicaragua, and Norway. She explains a little significant aspect about each trip in each blog. For example, she explains that they had a baby in Costa Rica! This reminds me of myself because my mom was pregnant with my younger brother while we were living in Japan! There aren't any advertisements for any companies on the page, I believe this is because the family is using the blog simply for fun and to show other families that traveling with younger kids is possible too! There is also a facebook associated with the blog, travel mother has her own Facebook page with about 4,500 followers, which is a lot if you ask me! This establishes some credibility within her blog. You are also able to contact travel mother through email! This shows that she is interested in getting to know and helping out her readers. Specifically, I believe that families of all ages, with young children who would like to travel, will be interested in reading Travel Mother's blog. I look forward to understanding her blog on a deeper level and therefore comparing it to my own niche blogs when I begin to write!

Nomadic Matt is a blogger who travels alone. That is the way that he enjoys traveling, completely alone and "nomadic." His blog explains the reason why he decided to be traveling completely alone. For example, he explains that just after college, he and his friend were supposed to travel to Australia. However, last minute his friend dropped out of the trip, and Matt was forced to travel to Australia alone. This is when Matt found out that he loved traveling alone. He continued his traveling after his trip to Australia to many countries, cities, and islands around the world. Matt offers budget tips for traveling alone, as well as opportunities for travel specifically at the places in which he has traveled alone. The readers that Matt is aiming to relate to are those who are interested in saving money and exploring the world while traveling alone. I would say that his readers would be both male and female, as well as ages 20-30. Anybody who is young and living their life without a family yet who would like to travel the world can relate to Nomadic Matt. The layout of his page is quite different than those of the other blogs that I have researched. He does not have an about page, rather a little about section on his homepage of the site. He also has his blogs organized based upon their similarities, which I personally like, and wouldn't mind doing for my own blog as well. One advertisement that Matt shows is for a book called "Travel Case Studies." This is a book in which Matt used to learn about traveling alone. The book offers case studies of solo travelers and what they have experienced throughout their solo travel around the world. There is an advertisement for the book on the page, which also offers a way that you can buy it and get it shipped to your home. Overall, I enjoyed this blog because it reminded me of myself and my mother when we were traveling basically alone. I will definitely be using this blog post as I form the rest of my niche blogs informing my readers about female travel!

The following travel blog that I have found is now about a female solo traveler, instead of a male solo traveler. I feel that this will be very helpful for my research. I will be able to compare and contrast the two so that I can understand what it is like while traveling alone as a woman in other countries, versus traveling solo as a man in other foreign countries. Right away, the layout of Liz's site amazes me. I love her photo, being that I am assuming that it is of a picture of herself. Her site is also very easy to navigate. You can go right to her blog posts, right to her about me page, search the destinations in which she has traveled to, and also search her photography. I loved looking at her photography page because not only were the pictures beautiful, but it gave her site a little bit of uniqueness. Almost every other blog site had photography on it that I visited, however none had a subdomain page featuring it. I found this quite amazing, and the photography page is definitely something that stood out to me. Her site is very interesting, and I am excited to continue to browse through it in order to learn more about her life as a solo female traveler! I can definitely see myself using some of her blogs as research throughout my own blog posts.

The following blog is very different than the other blogs that I have researched throughout my niche blog research. All of the other blogs have a specific person in which who runs the blog. They run the blog for a specific reason as well. However, with the Student Universe travel blog, this is not the case. The Student Universe blog offers insight from multiple bloggers, who give out valuable information to their specific audience of students. Student universe offers amazing deals for flights, vacations, and more. It is an amazing site for students being that many students who are in college, cannot necessarily afford to travel as much as they would like to. I love the purpose of this site, and I feel as thoughI can gain some critical information for my own niche blog by reading into this one. This blog offers hard facts, in which I can include in my own niche blogs when I begin them.

I decided that I wanted to research this specific blog site, Roads and Kingdoms, because it offered much more than just travel Roads and Kingdoms offers food tips throughout other countries, politics throughout other countries and what to become aware of, as well as guides throughout other countries that one may enjoy traveling to. I really enjoyed the layout of the site as well. It was very welcoming and the blog posts that were lined up at the side of the page were up to date and very informational. A lot of the site is about food and what to eat when traveling to other countries. I liked this aspect of the blog because again, like Hi Im Liz it created a uniqueness for the blog itself. Almost all of the blogs lined up on the right side of the page are about food. I am excited to continue to look through the site and compare their knowledge about food with my own about Japanese food and culture!

Pit stops for kids is a travel website that gives information to families who are looking to travel with children. It is not necessarily a travel blog, but it is more of an informational site that is given to express information to families who look to travel with young children. The layout of the site is very colorful and inviting. You can tell that they want to attract families with young children. The main point of the site is about pit stops for kids. This involves giving information about possible pit stops for kids whether that be traveling on plane, or traveling by car. The site also involves amazing resorts for the families to go to with their kids, as well as great road trips for kids, and adventure for kids. I wish this site existed when I was a child and traveling! It would have been an amazing site for my mom to look into. They offer travel tips, as well as contact for more information. This is a site that I feel will for sure be using throughout my niche blog research.

Delicious baby is a blog website that features a mother who has three children and loves to travel. Her layout of the page is almost a lot more informal compared to others. It offers not necessarily a pretty picture for her homepage, but a blog post in itself. This is interesting, and not the most inviting home layout, however it is very informational and I feel as though she has done this in order to attract her readers in a different way. She offers products that she uses, travel tips wile traveling with babies, as well as city guides and an about page. I really admire her website because I can relate to her experience with travel as I once did with my family. I am excited to continue to look into her blog in order to find more information that I will be able to then use throughout my own niche blog posts.
